Dykstra has worked on the visual effects department for numerous blockbuster movies, including Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Batman Forever, Spider-Man, X-Men: First Class, Django Unchained, and Godzilla. He has received several accolades for his work, including a Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy Awards in 1978 and another for Spider-Man 2 in 2005.
